Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Med/Surg Pediatrics team at  on a PRN/per diem basis.

The RN will provide safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. This position is ideal for an RN seeking flexible PRN scheduling in a specialized pediatric healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting.
• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
• Perform accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Assist with procedures and coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and care needs.
• Maintain patient safety and follow infection-control and hospital policies.
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Pediatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
