Your allied disciplinein the setting that suits it
Allied health work changes with the setting, from a full outpatient schedule to a single evaluation at the bedside. Explore therapy, imaging, respiratory, laboratory and surgical roles with a practice that starts from your discipline and the way you want to practice.

Set the pace of your working year
Some clinicians add a few visits to a full week, and others spend an academic year in a school across the country. The arrangement you choose decides how your caseload and your calendar fit together.
Visits and shifts as you choose them
Pick up treatment visits or shifts at facilities near home. Per diem lets you add hours alongside a permanent role, or try a setting before you commit to it.

A new caseload within reach of home
Spend a set period with a nearby department, clinic or school. You meet a different patient population and team while your life at home carries on.

A new department in a new city
Take an assignment in another part of the country, commonly 13 weeks, or an academic year contract in a school. Travel suits clinicians who settle quickly into a new department and enjoy the change.

A department to build your practice in
Join a department where you can develop your clinical skills over years. A permanent role lets you know your patients, your colleagues and your caseload well.

Each allied profession is measured differently, by the clock, the caseload or the study.
Advice grounded in your discipline
An allied health advisor on our board shapes how our practice works. A physical therapist and a sonographer face very different days, so the advice you receive starts from the discipline you practice.
Caseload as part of the decision
Pace and caseload vary widely between departments, and both shape the care you can give. We weigh them alongside the way you want to practice as you consider each role.
Settings worth exploring early
Your discipline can take you from a hospital department to a rehab gym or a school. Talking before an opening appears gives those settings room to be considered properly.
Commitment shaped around your calendar
Our allied health practice covers individual shifts, contracts and permanent roles, including academic year assignments in schools. The arrangement you choose can follow the calendar your life already keeps.

“I want to take this opportunity to praise my recruiter at Advantra Health in her many efforts finding me a great job. I had been out of work for a number of years, homeschooling my sons, and my recruiter picked up the ball and got rolling sending out my resume to various school districts in West Virginia. When one offer didn’t work for me, she pursued and found me another offer with a school district closer to home. My recruiter is punctual, professional and courteous and has that sense of urgency making it easy to trust her. Once I left a message on her phone while she was away on vacation, and she called me back the same day! She truly is devoted to her job and made me feel as if we had worked together for years. I am so thankful for my recruiter and for Advantra Health!”

Have another question? We would be glad to discuss it.
It depends on your discipline. Physical therapy has an interstate compact across member states, while most allied professions license state by state. We’ll start with the states where you’re already licensed.
Yes. PTA, COTA and SLPA roles sit mainly in skilled nursing, outpatient and school settings.
Yes. School-based SLP and OT contracts usually follow the academic year, and we plan them around the calendar with you.
Most roles ask for recent experience in your discipline and setting, often a year or more. Each job page lists what that facility requires.
It depends on the facility, the state license and your credentials. We talk timing through with you before anything is submitted.
