Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical Nursing (Pediatrics) for a contract assignment in Sacramento, CA. The selected candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients, collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and support positive patient outcomes in a safe and compassionate environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric patients' health conditions and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in clinical status.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and established clinical protocols.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and emergency situations.
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients in a medical-surgical setting.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California.
• Required basic life support (BLS) certification.
• 2 years of Pediatric nursing and/or Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, if required by the facility.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work the scheduled 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM shift.
• Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and high-quality nursing care.
• 1 year of recent EPIC experience is required.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: Up to $58 per hour
• Location: Sacramento, California
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Employment Type: Perdiem
• Start Date: ASAP
